Bubba in the Snow

It has obviously been a while since I have posted on this blog. I have been pretty busy posting on my photography blog and on my photo page on facebook. I thought I'd throw on here a quick pic from today's all-day snowfest. It started at about 8 and its still going strong...I think. Greg took Colin outside to move snow and he had a ball until I showed up to take a few pics and of course then he wanted to go in and get warm. It amazes me how big he is getting...too quick!

We Meet At Last!

We finally got to go meet Grant! If you have linked on to Grant's blog from ours you will know his amazing story. His aunt Kellie and I teach together and his mom, Allie, and I became friends through her. They live in Idaho Falls and we've been wanting to get these two together for months! Finally we found a day where we could drive up and see how they would get along. The funny thing is neither of them are used to being around kids their own age. Grant is used to being around babies who don't play with his stuff and Colin is used to being around older kids that just let him have his way. There were some great sad faces on both sides here and there when they both wanted to play with the same toy, but finally they found some common ground playing peek-a-boo through one of Grant's toys. All in all it was a great day and I loved getting to see Grant up close and personal. He is a sweet, darling boy and such an amazing spirit. Allie and Kyle are spectacular parents with such great attitudes about everything they have been through. Loved visiting with them and appreciated the delish dinner...inspiring! Thanks Allie, we'll plan on seeing you next summer, if not sooner!

One of My Favorite Things

Can I just say I love coming home from church and finding them like this. It happens most Sundays and I just think it is so cute...snoring and all.

Promtastic

I had a great time tonight taking my neighbor's prom pics. I was just so excited about how the group shot turned out that I had to post it! If you want to see more of the shoot head to my photo site.

My Little Man

So hello there blog world. It has been a while. I remember something about Josi, Beth and I promising to post once a month to keep up on each other's kids, lives, etc. so it wouldn't seem like Beth, Ty and Will are so far away, and well, we've all really sucked it up on that front. Good thing they came to see us for two weeks or we wouldn't remember what they looked like....and vice versa! I'll talk about that and post fun pics about that later. Right now I just wanted to post two cute pics of my little man. He actually went to church with me on Sunday--Greg usually has him at home with him, but the greens were calling and the Masters was on in the afternoon, so to make the world a happy place he came with me. I was fearing the worst...locked doors, him running around interrupting the lesson, pounding on metal chairs...etc. but then, my cute visiting teacher Sara was there (who also happens to be the nursery leader) talking to someone and as she was leaving he just thought it would be great to just follow her on out. She looked at me, raised her eyebrows and said, "well mom, we're off to nursery, we apparently don't need you." and they were gone. A very enjoyable hour later he rejoined me, snacked up, played out and ready for a nap. He's only 15 months, but well, looks like a two year old, so hey, if nobody can tell that he's really not supposed to be in there, I'm not tellin'! After we left I just couldn't let the day pass without snappin' the blue shirt and tie...such a little man.

ANGRY

So, this is not a current picture, but it represents my little man at the moment. He's currently screaming in his crib because he won't go down for his nap. He wakes up like clockwork at 5:30 a.m. every day and usually, easily, drops off for a nap at 9:00. Well, its 9:30, he's angry and I'm well, calmly looking at the Internet while I listen to him yell at me. I usually do not do this, so I'm sure all of the moms out there are just nodding their heads say, "Well, girl, you have to if you want to be the one in charge." So, I'll just keep typing away hoping he realizes sooner than later, he will be taking a nap before he gets out of that crib. He just threw the monitor off the edge of crib so now I know he's really mad. I wonder if he is swearing in his head--I am.
